Properties

Using the PPI (Private Property Impound) form in Omadi is made easier by entering Properties in Omadi. Creating Properties allows you to record essential information that drivers and office staff will need to access to service the property accounts that you enforce. 

To begin, hover your mouse over the Customers box in the Black Bar and click on the Property option. That will take you to a list view showing all the properties you currently have entered in Omadi. Click on New Property to create a new entry.

When creating a Property, with the exception of a few required fields, feel free to include as much or as little information as necessary. In the first section, titled Account Information, Omadi requires that you enter the Account Name, and Account Type. These required fields display in red text. The remaining fields give more details about the account including if it has a parent account, the type of property it is (apartment, retail, etc.), a landmark, and any photos of the property.

The following three sections, Address Information, Account Status and Contact Information provides fields to enter detailed information about the account. The address of the property is required. The Account Status section provides billing and historical information. The following section, Contact Information, provides the contact information for the Property Manager as well as general contact information for the Property.

The next section, Patrolling, allows you to input information about the rules and information needed in order to tow a vehicle from this property. Choosing a Default Tow Yard  and Default Fee Schedule are the only fields required in this section. This information is required because it will determine where the towed cars will go and pricing.

The field "In How Many Hours Does Tag Expire?" is really important for tagging vehicles. If this field is filled, drivers will be prompted to tow a tagged vehicle once the tag expires. The General Rules & Restrictions text box is a good area to display notes/rules about the property that will be visible to the driver. One of the most important boxes to fill out is the Manager does NOT want to approve tags checkbox. This box means that tags will be active and valid even if the property manager does not approve them through the client portal. 

*IMPORTANT - The tagging feature is only available with the purchase of our client portal, which is only available in our Plus and Professional packages. Not available for essential packages. 

Another really useful field in this section is Loaded Mileage. For Loaded mileage, if the property address is filled in and the default tow yard is selected then you can automatically calculate the loaded mileage to the account by pressing the fetch button.

The final section, Violation Rules, will dictate which violations the driver is able to tag or tow vehicles for. If no violations or rule are added, all violations will be available as options for the drivers. To add a violation click the button labeled add rule. Next choose the violation(s) that the drivers can tag/tow for, add time rule and any notes.

Once you've entered in that information, click save. You will now be able to select that entry while creating PPI's. This will allow you to track tows by Property, further automate pricing, and create statements for specific accounts by using Omadi's Aged Receivables feature.
